I've been doing better at getting more sleep. Last night, for example, I went to bed at 11pm and got up at 6am feeling quite energetic! This is awesome! Not eight hours per night, yet, but awesome nevertheless! I care more about feeling good rather than hitting a specific number of hours.Still working toward that goal, though.
I also committed to doing the Radiant Goddess e-Course, which is a three-week mostly raw food detox plan, along with meditations, videos, and support discussion boards (for Goddess Circle members). It's not cheap (spent $250 yesterday getting ingredients mostly for the first week), but I know from past experience that a raw food detox works well for me and boosts my energy hugely.
I usually eat local foods only, but for three weeks will be including things like bananas and dates which don't grow around here. After the three weeks, there should be lots of local fruits and veggies to continue eating mostly raw.
My main interest in the detox is to eliminate dairy and gluten for awhile. I suspect I have some problems with those foods. In June, I may follow up with a 7-week course being offered by my naturopathic physician which starts with a three week detox (not just raw, though) and then gradually reintroduces foods eliminated so I can tell what my food sensitivities are and understand what to eliminate or eat going forward. She ties this in with blood tests to customize the whole process.
I'll see how I'm feeling by then before I decide.
Hope the rain stops for awhile today so I can go tuck in some seed potatoes and onion starts in my garden. Everything I've planted so far seems to be doing really well, except I haven't seen any sprouts yet from my asparagus crowns. The nursery said it would take awhile, though, so I'm not worried yet. They were big and healthy, so should do fine for years to come.
